Timeline

  • October 13, 2019 – Started Germination
  • October 17, 2019 – Potted Seed in little container
  • October 18, 2019 – Sprouted
  • November 3, 2019 – Transplanted into a 1.64 gallon pot
  • December 12, 2019 – Started Flowering
  • February 3rd, 2020 – Started Flushing
  • February 16th, 2020 – Harvested (started drying)

Pot

  • Plastic 1.64 gallon

I used a 1.64 gallon pot for this grow. There was a very good chance of the plant outgrowing the tent it’s in because of the 4 foot height. A 2 gallon pot would probably do just fine but just to be on the safe side I am downsizing.

Nutrients

Dutch Nutrients A + B Gro and Bloom

I have been using Dutch Nutrients A + B Gro and Bloom with Cal-Mag and bloom fortifier. For the next grow I might switch to the Lucas formula and see what the differences are.

Nutrient Lockout

One of the problems I ran into during flower was nutrient lockout. This occurs when nutrients build up in the soil from continuously feeding your plant. When this happens the PH of your soil rises to a level high enough to prevent the nutrients from being absorbed.

PH Down

Training

LST – Low Stress Training was used to grow this plant at a 90 degree angle, parallel with the ground. This lets the side branches grow up to the light and become the tops which results in many more top bugs compared to a vertical grow.

Topping – is used on the last node to yet again increase the number of top nugs. The number of top nugs doubling every topping.

SCROG nets are a type of low stress training that focus on creating an even canopy. If some tops are taller than others they can be bent down under a variety of locations because of the grid of the SCROG.

Results

This plant yielded 34.27 grams.
